UDOT road construction projects August 12-18, 2011

Aug 12-18: Work continues on the construction of an auxiliary lane on north-bound I-15, between the 500 West on-ramp in Bountiful, and Parrish Lane, work each evening beginning at 10 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next day. Most of the time all lanes will be open, but occasionally the far right lane may be closed to facilitate construction work. Due to additional projects being completed by Davis County, Pages Lane will be closed or restricted where it passes under I-15 in the coming month. Motorists on Pages Lane should use alternate routes, and I-15 motorists should pay attention to advance warning signs and move to the left when directed by them to do so. Aug 14: The Region One Painting Crew will be painting highway stripping on Washington (US-89) and Harrison (SR-203) Boulevards, on Sunday, August 14. Crews will work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Motorists should stay behind the trailing vehicles with flashing lights to avoid getting wet paint on their vehicles. The completion of this work is highly dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Aug 14: The Region One Chip Asphalt and Chip Seal crews will be conducting maintenance work on Sunday, August 14, on the campus loop roadway (SR-284) at Weber State University, and the campus loop roadway (SR-286) at the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College. Work will be conducted between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. During these maintenance operations, flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Access to certain areas of each campus will be restricted or closed during these maintenance operations, so motorists should have alternate routes in mind as the approach either campus. Aug 12-18: On segment 1 (Washington Blvd. to Monroe Blvd.), of the 12th Street (SR-39) repaving project, centerline paving is complete between Liberty Avenue and Washington Blvd. The center section remains closed for curing, and traffic is moving on the outside lanes. A dedicated U-turn for both east bound and west bound motorists is located at Liberty Avenue. On segment 2 (Monroe Blvd. to Harrison Blvd (SR-203)), paving is underway, with one lane of traffic open in each direction and a center turn lane available during non-peak hours. Crews are working from 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 p.m.
