Douglas Jerald Loukota
Douglas Jerald Loukota, age 58, passed away July 27, 2011 at his home in Peoria, Ariz. He was born October 26, 1952 in Lynch, Neb. and is survived by his loving wife Felicia, his daughters Melissa, Melinda, Janice, his granddaughter Shante and his brothers Gary Sharman from Springfield, S.D., Rick Tresa from Page, Ariz. and Ted Robin from Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Janice and Jerald Loukota, and his brother, Allen Dean Loukota. In 1972, at the age of 19, Doug moved with his family to Page, Ariz. In Page, he worked as a butcher for Babbitt’s and Rudy’s Market during the pioneer days and later went to work as a custodian for the Page Unified School District. It wasn’t long before he found his lifelong love, Felicia Linker. They were married June 4, 1977 and were soon on their way to starting a family. In 1985 after the birth of his first two daughters, Melissa and Melinda, he moved with his family to Phoenix, Ariz. where his daughter Janice was born. Aside from his love for cats, his favorite pastimes were pheasant hunting in South Dakota and fishing on Lake Powell. However, his love for his family was foremost in his life. Doug was a dedicated and loving husband of 34 years. His genuine love for his family truly shined with the newest arrival of his new granddaughter Shante, born in 2009. He will be missed dearly by those who have loved him.Lake Powell Az - News
