Pickup sideswipes semi in Gilchrist County
Jonathan Fuel Dunnam, 19, was taken to North Florida Regional Medical Center for treatment following the accident that occurred at 3:50 p.m. on State Road 49 near County Road 307, FHP reported in a media release.
Dunnam was driving a 1978 GMC pickup southbound on SR 49. A tractor-trailer driven by Clifford A. Wilson Jr., 68, of Live Oak, was northbound on SR 49.
Dunnam crossed the center line and the left front of his pickup struck the left side of the truck, causing Dunnam to rotate counter clockwise as it traveled down the left side of the trailer, FHP said.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
