Dave Matthews Tribute Band to Perform at Music Under the Stars in El Paso
The Dave Matthews Tribute Band has worked hard to bring musical expertise and an energetic stage presence to remake and provide fans with a true ‘DMB experience’. The concert will be held Sunday August 14, 2011 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Chamizal National Memorial located at 800 South San Marcial Street.
Grills are allowed at the park except in the inner part of the park known as the bowl. Please note alcohol is not allowed at the Chamizal National Memorial. Glass containers or pets are not allowed at the park.
Park and Ride!Concert goers may park at the El Paso Zoo and take a shuttle to the park for free! Shuttle hours are from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
About The Dave Matthews Tribute BandThe Dave Matthews Tribute Band, from Chattanooga, TN, is the only nationally touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band. This 6-piece ensemble strives to pay homage to their famous counterparts by matching the excitement, energy, intensity and intimacy of a DMB live show. “We have so much respect for DMB and what they’ve been able to accomplish,” says lead singer Ryan Clifford. “As fans, we love getting together with others to celebrate and give tribute to DMB and their music.”
This presentation is supported by the Texas Commission on the Arts and local companies and individuals throughout Texas.

If you know me personally, you are WELL aware of what a HUGE fan of the Dave Matthews Band I am. Since I was about 15, I have absolutely LOVED them. My first concert was with a few of my friends and we went to see him. I remember waiting out front after for one of our parents to pick us up. We sang to EVERY single song and were able to sneek up toward the front and thought we were such rebels. Anyway, after seeing them numerous times and NEVER being allowed a camera (ok you always find a way to sneak them in) I was BEYOND elated when one of my friends, Carrie from For the Love of Photography brought me to her company (Qualcomm) 25th anniversary party and they had Dave there as a surprise for the employees. I brought along my pro camera and 70-200 lens and was ready to pee my pants in excitement when they announced Dave was coming out. Are you kidding me? DAVE FREAKING MATTHEWS was there… like what– 20 something feet from me? Everyone kept asking me if I was hired by Qualcomm to shoot the event… of course I said no but they still moved for me It was different seeing Dave perform acoustically since I have only seen him with the full band. It was VERY nice to go to a Dave concert and not be surrounded by a ton of pot in the air too That drives me nuts.
Anyway, somehow I took over 200 pictures… as if his face changes much, right? I will post a few here, but you can head over to the album on the facebook fan page and see the full set. Please remember to not remove my watermark or crop or edit the images in any way.
